MENTAL HEALTH CLASS SERIES
Saturday 7:00 pm $15/class- Starting Jan 15th.
Week 1- Intro to mental health awareness and self care:
This class is the building blocks of emotional health. You will learn specific science and skills that contribute to emotions, for better or worse. You can learn and evaluate what works for you or what could use some adjusting.
Week 2- Self love and compassion. In the end how we treat ourselves makes all the difference in our emotional experiences. Learn better ways to relate to yourself and to others with love and compassion.
Week 3- Anxiety
Anxiety is far more than worry. It is how our bodies respond to stress. A small amount of that is helpful. The larger majority is counterproductive. Learn how to recognize anxiety and learn better ways to cope and manage anxiety.
Week 4- Shame and Depression:
Shame shows up in most negative emotions (especially depression) and hijacks our ability to be resilient in the face of struggle. Learn how to identify shame and Depression and better cope with how it shows up in your life.
Week 5- Mindfulness. Mindfulness is one of the leading treatment methods for overall emotional well being. Learn about the method and how to start using it in your everyday routine.
Week 6- Relationships. Take all the information learned so far and understand how to better apply those skills in your most important relationships.
