Private Pay Counseling at Greenstone Counseling
Private pay—sometimes called self-pay—means that clients pay for counseling services directly, rather than using health insurance. In this model, the client is responsible for the full session fee at the time of service.
At Greenstone Counseling, our private pay rates range from $100 to $120 per session, depending on the clinician. Payment can be made with cash, card, or other approved methods at the time of your appointment.
Many clients choose private pay because it offers certain advantages, such as:

Sliding Scale
We also understand that cost can be a concern. That’s why we provide a sliding scale fee option for those who qualify based on income and family size. Counseling Cancellation & No-Show Policy – Greenstone Counseling
At Greenstone Counseling, we value your time and are committed to providing quality care. In order to best serve all of our clients, we have established a clear policy regarding cancellations and missed appointments.
Late Cancellation Policy
Appointments canceled less than 4 hours in advance are subject to a $25 fee. This fee reflects the time reserved exclusively for you that cannot easily be offered to another client on short notice.
No-Show Policy
Clients who do not show up for a scheduled session without notice will be charged a $50 fee. Missed appointments impact not only your progress in therapy but also limit our ability to support others who may be waiting for an opening.
Why This Policy Matters
Each counseling session represents a dedicated time commitment from your therapist. When cancellations are made in advance, that time can often be reallocated to another client in need. When appointments are missed or canceled at the last minute, it prevents us from providing care to others and impacts the overall effectiveness of your treatment plan.
